Released in 1970 after four years of development, the PloProf (Plongeur Professionnel, or “Professional Diver”) was created in collaboration with Jacques Cousteau and COMEX divers for extreme saturation diving. Its monobloc stainless steel case eliminated the need for a helium escape valve, offering an impressive 600m water resistance.

A patented bezel-locking mechanism, operated via the signature red button, prevented accidental rotation during dives — a critical safety feature. With its bold, asymmetric case and unmatched engineering, the PloProf was a technical marvel of its time and remains a cult classic among dive watch collectors.
