The Rolex Submariner 5513 received its final glossy dial with tritium luminous material around 1983, replacing earlier matte dials, and featured white gold surrounds for the hour markers.

These transitional dials were produced for the last few years of the 5513's production run, ending in 1989, and are considered a unique blend of vintage character and more modern aesthetics for the reference.
